Your current haul changes the next risk

A survivor in Steal Or Die is deciding how much of an unfinished haul to risk. Once you have collected useful items, the next room is no longer an isolated gamble: dying inside loses the existing load as well. Consider that stake before crossing a noisy hallway or moving farther from the exit.

Rarer loot slows movement, so the same return can feel different later in the round. Avoid judging the trip from how quickly you entered. Plan for the load you are actually carrying when deciding whether there is room for another detour.

Respond to pursuit with a destination

The entity hears footsteps and voices and can see flashlight light. When pressure rises, move toward a place that gives you a useful next choice: a corner, a doorway or an accessible hiding option. Running without a destination can turn a familiar building into a series of hurried guesses.

Closets, vents and barricaded doors are real options, but they do not all work the same way. A vent needs a screwdriver, and a locker can be opened by the entity. Use the hiding guide to understand the option before making it the entire plan.

Make extraction the final task

When the exit becomes available, protect the route you already know. You do not need to prove the run was ambitious by adding one last heavy item. A smaller successful haul gives you something to use between rounds; a larger load still inside has not finished its job.

The escape guide adds the timing and return decision. If a survivor run fails repeatedly, identify the particular cause: announcing your location, losing the route or moving under too much burden. That correction is more useful than simply entering the next match determined to steal more.
