Reduce the number of simultaneous decisions

Steal Or Die supports phones and tablets with custom touch controls. The practical challenge is keeping the building readable while your hands also choose movement and interaction. Start with a short route and a nearby pickup. You want to know where you are going before another touch action takes attention away from the doorway.

Do not make the first mobile session a contest to carry the most loot. Use a manageable load and retrace a section you already recognize. When that return is comfortable, extend the search by a room rather than changing the route, the load and the movement rhythm at once.

Keep touch input separate from carrying slowdown

Rarer loot pays more and slows the carrier. If movement becomes uncomfortable after several valuable pickups, the load deserves attention before the touch layout. A working control cannot remove the game’s carrying tradeoff. Prefer a lighter return when the monster is active near the route.

Light also belongs to the decision. A flashlight helps identify a room, but its beam can reveal you. Keep a short look attached to the doorway or object you need rather than leave the beam sweeping while your hands deal with several other actions.

Build one useful habit before the next run

The monster hears footsteps and voices on the game’s own terms; mobile support is not a reason to assume your movement or microphone is irrelevant. Keep the next action clear before entering a threatened room, and use the current touch labels for that action rather than borrowing desktop keys.

After the run, choose the obstacle that actually occurred. A lost route points toward the beginner guide. An overloaded return points toward carry weight. A monster that followed the search points toward sound detection. Keeping those problems distinct makes the next touch session easier to improve.
