Steal Or Die is a timed horror heist. As a survivor, you search the building for valuables while an entity hunts you. Your objective is carrying loot out, not merely collecting the largest number shown during the round. An item still inside the building has not finished the journey that makes it useful.

The official item pool contains 31 stealables, with phones and gold bars among its examples. Rarer loot brings a larger payout and slower movement. That relationship turns every extra pickup into a choice about the journey back, rather than an automatic improvement.

Detection connects movement to hiding

The entity hears footsteps and voices. The tutorial material also describes it seeing your light. A route can become dangerous because you announced yourself on it, even if the room initially looked empty. Quiet movement and controlled flashlight use help you keep the search deliberate.

Closets, vents and barricaded doors give you ways to respond to pressure. They are different options with different access needs; vents, for example, use a screwdriver. Learn the sound-detection guide before treating a closet as a substitute for managing the approach.

The monster role changes the same map decision

The official experience also lets you be the entity and hunt other players. Survivors care about valuable rooms and a return to the exit; those priorities give a hunter useful places to consider. Listening and choosing an interception route can be more purposeful than following the last person you saw.

Between runs, the game advertises skill trees, upgrades, rebirths, cases, skins and trading. These are separate goals from completing the current extraction. Begin with the first-run guide, then choose a narrower lesson once you know which part of the heist is causing trouble.
